A nocturnal and intimate hymn

A third edition full of memories and suggestions

Komorebi 2019 took place in an intimate atmosphere and in a very evocative location: the Novemilachilometri olive grove is not only a symbol of the Apulian land, but it is also a reminder of the place where the train accident took place. So, the third Komorebi was intimate and reflective, silent but for this reason extremely eloquent: held from 23:06 on the evening of 11 July (exactly twelve hours before the accident) until the morning of 12 July, Komorebi 2019 hosted musical, theatre and dance performances at every hour of the night. To crown it all, there were installations rich in meaning and symbolism, while linking all the performances and works came the theme "I have no material".

I have no material

Break free from material to return to origin

The theme "I have no material" originates from a state of mind, from something undefined, from a perception of an impalpable reality: it brings us back to something almost religious or otherworldly. What happens after death? And what happens to those who remain alive, powerless and forced to move on? You find yourself in an empty room, waiting for a sign, an energy, a cloud with a different shape. With nothing in our hands, with no material or stuff, there is only us in that empty room, with the task of rising from the ashes, far from what is purely material and trying to find well-being again in a room with no time and no space. "I have no material" is all you can see inside yourself: it is you, who were left alone in your empty room, and you can finally decide to fill it as you wish.
